August 1st – Colonial Nature Photography Club Meeting
Meeting called to order at 6:34 PM by Dane Clingan
46 members and guests present including 3 members from the Hampton Roads Digital Photo Club.
Barbara reported that member Theresa Danforth had her picture chosen as the image of the month in the July issue of Virginia Wildlife.
Barbara also discussed the fall trip to the James River National Wildlife Refuge. This trip is being done special for our club and is limited to 20 attendees. The trip will be on Sunday, October 16th. Meeting time will be sent out later, but members are reminded to notify Barbara to RSVP. This will be an awesome chance to get some gorgeous sunrise on the James pictures, fall foliage, and maybe some bald eagles and other wildlife. Pictures will be collected and discussed for the November meeting.
All members were reminded to check their current email addresses on the mailing list to ensure they were correct. Contact Barbara if you are not getting emails.
Dane took a moment to review the photo submission guidelines with the group. When submitting photos for the monthly assignment please remember:
-pictures should be less than 500k
-pictures should be less than 1024 pixels
-Have your first name as part of the file name
