Join us Monday, November 6th, at 6:30 p.m. at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Rd., Williamsburg for our November meeting. Member Caroline Maryan is a freelance writer and travel photographer who calls Williamsburg her home. She is the founder of Camera Mechanics Workshop, where she helps people take the mystery out of their cameras. She has written for several magazines, taught elementary school, and been involved with the Cub/Boy Scouts. Join us at the November meeting as she presents “Shooting the Yuanyang Rice Terraces in Southern China”. Caroline will be detailing her photography trip to China in 2012. Located near the Vietnam border, these rice terraces were hand-carved into the mountainside of the Ailao Mountain Range over the past 1300 years, by the Hani minority. She will be sharing photos and describing the adventure of shooting there, in an area that is remote and new to photographers. Hope to see you there!
