June Meeting: “American Southwest” also “Advanced Selections and Masking in Photoshop”

Join us Monday, June 4, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Road, Williamsburg.  CNPC member Chris Tennant will present a two-part two program:

PART I:
“From the Northeast to the Southwest: A Trip Report”
PART II:
“Advanced Selections and Masking in Photoshop”
If you incorporate Photoshop into your workflow but are not utilizing layers and masks, then be sure to attend this presentation! The power of Photoshop lies in the ability to work with selections, masks and layers. A brief introduction to Photoshop will be followed by several live tutorials and demonstrations. The emphasis will be on advanced selections and masking to achieve complete tonal control of an image. While the presentation is aimed toward landscape/scenic photographers, the techniques described would benefit wildlife photographers as well.

The theme for members’ photos for June is “Color in Nature.” Send your photos to Craig Hill in time for him to incorporate into a slide show. See detailed instructions.
